RTsafe Expands Collaboration with ISRS to Support New SBRT Certification Service

RTsafe is proud to announce the expansion of its collaboration with the International Stereotactic Radiosurgery Society (ISRS) to support the newly introduced SBRT (Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy) Certification Service. This marks a significant milestone in the field of stereotactic treatments, further solidifying RTsafe’s position as a leader in independent dosimetry and quality assurance solutions.

Building on the long-standing partnership between RTsafe and ISRS in the field of cranial Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS), where RTsafe’s PRIME phantom and Remote Dosimetry Services have been instrumental in the ISRS Certification Service, RTsafe is now extending its expertise to SBRT. This development aligns with ISRS’s mission to ensure excellence in stereotactic treatments through rigorous certification and quality assurance.

As part of this enhanced collaboration, RTsafe is providing essential support in two key areas:

• Phantom-based Quality Assurance & Remote Dosimetry services – ISRS’s SBRT Certification Service will utilize RTsafe’s SBRT phantom and remote dosimetry services to validate treatment accuracy and adherence to clinical standards. These evaluations ensure compliance with ISRS-defined performance metrics, reinforcing confidence in SBRT implementations worldwide.
• Preparation for ISRS Certification– RTsafe is officially accredited by ISRS to offer a Preparation for ISRS Certification service, enabling clinical centers to fine-tune their SBRT protocols before undergoing the formal ISRS audit. This preparatory service helps institutions optimize their procedures and ensure a smooth certification process.

The first implementation of the ISRS SBRT Certification Service recently took place in Zagreb, highlighting the growing global interest in standardized, high-quality SBRT treatments. This initiative underscores the commitment of both ISRS and RTsafe to advancing stereotactic therapies and ensuring patient safety through independent quality assurance.
